Please call 510-386-4156 cell, or email me at klwheeler@yahoo.com for an appointment. Thanks for visiting my website. This is a photo of my small office at home, which is adjacent to my quilt room with the longarm, cutting table, and sewing machine. But now I am using this room for domestic sewing and have moved my office into the longarm room. I like that a much better.

Quilt Preparation
If you are using your own batting and back of quilt, it should be 8 inches longer and 8 inches wider than your top (that's 4 inches on each side)
Square your back of quilt, and if it has seams press them open, and remove selvages
Your top, back, and batting should be wrinkle-free, so press them!
If top or back is directional, indicate that by pinning a note to the top edge
Check and remove loose threads from both sides of the top, batting, and back (a good time for that is during the pressing)
Stay stitch a pieced border along the edge and it will help it stay together better during quilting
Avoid a “wavy” quilt border which puckers in the free-motion quilting
If you have a quilt design in mind, try scaling it to fit the area and that helps us get started with quilting it. Otherwise, I have lots of designs and can also follow the fabrics in free-motion, or the block designs.
